INTRODUCTION

Which of these two statements do you think describes our nation best?

  • A nation lead by the righteous
  • A nation ruled by the wicked

Well before we answer the question I think we need to ask an even more foundational question.  What is righteousness?  It seems today that opinions concerning morality of good and evil are as diverse as there are persons.  And this has led to a profound problem for our nation.  How do we decide upon laws that don’t favor one political point of view above others or create a bias towards a particular religion over other religions?
